Springwatch (1 Viewer)

In Chris Packham's programme on BBC4 the other night, it was alluded to that the BBC doesn't do very well with environmental journalism with Countryfile cited as example of their sanitised coverage.

I doubt Packham has THAT much clout but maybe just maybe the BBC will listen to these criticisms.

It is out of order that the BBC feels entitled to work like mad at exposing bankers, con-artists, rogue builders etc but not wildlife criminals, despite being probably better set up for long-term surveillance than anyone outside the military and intelligence community.

The BBC likes to make HEADLINES to justify the license fee. WildlifeCountryside crime isn't important to the Londoncentric/Salford luvvies, nor the newspapers ( unless its about foxhunting of course )!

Seconded! A top show and Unsprung was excellent this series!:t:

Agreed - the shows are getting better, and better every year. :-O

I love Sprijgwatch becuase of all the baby birds, and the news species caught under the cameras eye - adds a differnt dimension to things

Love Si and Phil (hope Phil survived?)

Maybe this has to be suggested to them? An expose on the rogue game keepers would be excellent!

I cannot believe it all goes so quickly. 3 weeks and then nothing. The unpredictability of it must keep a lot of people glued. Some tabloids really got stuck in with the coverage of the Tawny Owl feeding the weak chick to the others.
