Camargue dragonflies (1 Viewer)

Birding for fun
Loads of dragonflies around Paty de la Trinite last week. Lesser emperor, scarlet darter, red veined darter and some that looked like black tailed skimmers, but weren't.
If memory serves me correctly, #4 showing red/blue eyes is probably female red veined.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Many thanks,
Jono

The photo of Lesser Emperor on your blog looked more like a Vagrant Emperor to me.

Thanks for that, not one I am familiar with. Need to find a book on the dragonflies of this area as my copy of British dragons by Steve Brooks is clearly not covering the whole set. I'm off there again in early September.
Thanks for the advice,
Jono

Yes - it's a Vagrant Emperor
