Some members of the genus Loriculus regularly do, which is why they often are called "Hanging-parrots".

August 28th 1998. Next to my house at Great Ouseburn stands a giant Redwood...(or similar). At dusk a lone Swift was seen through binoculars, and eventually a scope, circling the tree. It eventually landed on one of the branches and assumed a resting posture not unlike a nightjar. Some minutes later the Swift moved along the branch and onto a vertical branch. There it resumed resting in a vertical (clinging) head up position.
At first light the bird was viewed through the scope still on the same branch but this time head down (upside down) pointing to the ground. Presumably it had been in that position some hours.
BWP mentions Apus apus roosting in trees.
