One more ID Request (Goldfinch? Something else?) - Round Rock, TX, US

I supposed it could be an American Goldfinch, but I am not at all sure. It seems like the yellow on the breast is only a spot and not a full-on yellow breast. The picture was taken today. The bird was pretty far away but I think it was only slightly smaller than a cardinal and maybe the same size as a black-crested titmouse or something.

Anyway, I'd love any feedback. Thanks!!
