Redwings and Song Thrushes (1 Viewer)

Garden Bird & Bug Watcher
All this week we have been honoured (in my garden in Aldershot Hampshire, UK) by frequent visits by small flock of Redwings, feeding on the Ivy berries. We last saw them here for just a brief visit back in January 2002.

It's been great to watch them up in the branches, while at the same time we have been Song Thrushes coming to feed on the ground under our Hawthorn. We usually get to see one visiting during the Winter, but yesterday, for the first time ever, we had a pair of them down at the same time.

There are some pictures on my website, and I have just uploaded the most recent Redwing picture to the gallery.
