I'm still undecided about locations to visit for Mountain Pipit. Can anyone answer the questions below:-

How easy/accessible are they at Matatiele?
Is the Sani pass hike up and back (from the SA border post) realistic in a day, only 8km each way but mostly vertical?

I'm pretty sure there is public transport into Lesotho, via the pass, from Underberg, remember seeing minibuses. Also other traffic that might be OK to hitch with.

In March 2016 we had Mountain Pipit in the damp, flat grassy area more or less directly behind the, er, state of the art (;)) Lesotho passport control.
