Rock Partridge and Snowfinch RFI (1 Viewer)

Thinking about cycling from Bristol to the Alps for 2 big bogey birds, Rock Partridge and Snowfinch.

Any advice on best time of year we should try this, and where to go, much appreciated. We don't know when we can fit this in, so it would be good to know the best sites for winter, spring and summer. Any sites in other alpine countries where both these birds can be found not far from each other would be useful too.

Thanks for any help,

Larry and Nicky

Hi Larry,

No sites to give you specifically - but just to say I think Snow finch easy enough in most high alpine zones - around tourist areas - as I managed to see them on a school trip (you can imagine how long ago that was!) from a 'cafe'/viewpoint half way up Mt. Blanc.

Rock partridge are not alpine birds - more sub-alpine - and are easy in Greece - I've no knowledge of S. France for them.

ATB,

H
