Hello,

what do you think of this wagtail? I saw it yesterday in a field with others white wagtails but this one looked like darker.

Could it be a pied wagtail female?

Thank you

Arnaud

Hi Arnaud.

Since the flank (bodyside) looks white - should be much darker in Pied (yarrellii), and even in White (alba). I think your bird is a White (alba), possibly aberrant male, male due to black lower neck, usually grey in female alba.
