Started today at Rossi's in Southend. Very very dull, wet and overcast so after 2 cups of coffee and a couple of hours with just gulls, turnstones and the occasional cormomant decided to head for two tree island. Weather was no drier but I could see a lot more.Oystercatcher, Curlew, redshank blacktailed Godwit and little igret to name a few.
As I'm relatively to birdwatching I'm not that good at identification but think I'm right with all of them.
Anyway at about 2.15 decided to head home very wet.The thought crossed my mind about calling into Rainham as I was passing right by but decided not to after all I'm going there on Wednesday for the walk. Then I get home and see that a Squacco Heron has been spotted there grrrrrrr

Oh well fingers crossed it's still there tomorrow
