Waxwing (1 Viewer)

A waxwing has just visited our garden - the first since November 4, 2010 when we had crowds of them on the cotoneaster bush. All the berries have already been taken by the blackbird, so I doubt the waxwing will be hanging about, but there are bound to be others in the region. Any other sightings?
(waxwing sighted and confirmed: 13.00 hrs, October 18, 2012 at HS3 3AL, NB 1004, Isle of Harris, Outer Hebrides)

Oh my... how lovely for you Mike. Hopefully the start of an influx - it's a while since I've seen any.

Welcome to Birdforum.

Delia, Glad to be here. The waxwing comes at the end of a week that has seen goldfinches and redwings arrive, so it has been a colourful few days.
Mike
