Arunachal Pradesh: Guide Book (1 Viewer)

Hi.

I am going to visit Arunachal Pradesh. Which bird guide book do you recommend?

At first I wanted to take my Grimmett/Inskipp "Birds of Northern India" but curiously the North Eastern states are excluded. I hope they are included in the latest Helm/Princeton field guide "Birds of India" (2012)!? Unfortunately the latter will be much larger and heavier to be carried in the field.

Regards

For what it's worth, Birds of Bhutan covers nearly all the good birds of western Arunachal.
For India, I used Birds of South-Asia by Paula Rasmussen, plates mainly by John Anderton. I am a big fan of this book. For me, it's better than Grimmet and Inskipp, but I have to say Grimmet and Inskipp could compete with many bird guidebooks in many parts of the world.

So there are two very good choices covering all the birds in Arunachal:
Grimmet and Inskip (2012):

Rasmussen:

And one incomplete (birds of Bhutan):
