Pacific Slope Flycatcher...remove old nest? (1 Viewer)

Last Spring, a family of Pacific Slope Flycatchers built a nest on my balcony and had two broods that successfully hatched and fledged. The nest has been abandoned since last summer and I have not removed it yet. I saw a Flycatcher in the tree across my balcony yesterday, and I've read that these birds will often come back to a successful nesting site. I'm wondering if I should remove the nest so they can build a new one or if they will just clean/fix up the old one? I really want them to come back! Any suggestions?

Just leave the nest, can't hurt. I doubt they will use the same nest again, but I suppose it is possible that they will use some of the old material to rebuild a new one.
