Gyrfalcon in Delaware, USA (1 Viewer)

A gray-phase Gyrfalcon was found on Port Mahon Road, Little Creek, Delaware, a bit south of Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge. Yesterday [ 2/16/05 ] it was relocated along the entrance road to Bombay Hook.

Thus 3 super rarities for the USA within a 2 hour drive from Washington DC: a Redwing in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, a Gyrfalcon in Delaware and a Northern Lapwing in Frederick County, Maryland.
