Southern Giant Petrel (Macronectes giganteus) (1 Viewer)

Two views of the Southern Giant Petrel, taken on 10 Nov 2003 near Crozet Island in the southern Indian Ocean.
Note the greenish tip to the beak which distinguishes it from the Northern Giant Petrel (reddish tip).

Nikon D100 plus 80-400mm VR zoom lens.
