Currently I am using the Canon Rebel XT and would like to look into digiscoping but dont really understand what scopes or kits would work well with this model camera. Any chance one of you fellas could help or point me in the right direction so I dont end up purchasing things I really don't need?

Sorry, can't help you there. I am in the same situation as you. I don't no what to do either. So i would also be grateful for help as well, thanks.

Your best bet might be to post on the Cameras and Photography forum under "Canon," perhaps with the subject "Scope Suggestions for Digiscoping with Rebel XT." I am sure you could also get good advice from the folks at Eagle Optics.

My guess is that most high quality scopes would be just fine for digiscoping, and the only real question would be what accessories you need to use your Rebel XT with the scope.

Clear skies, Alan
