Juvenile Spotted Sandpiper? Quebec, Canada (1 Viewer)

jasperpatch

Amy, Brit in Quebec.
My only reluctance to confident ID, is that this bird doesn't seem to have a stripe, just a ring around the eye. Is that usual in juveniles? The rest looks good for spotted. It did bob a bit, but not constantly.

Yep :t:

The long tail excludes all other waders except Common Sandpiper, and that has dull greeny-yellow legs, not bright yellow like this (and would be an extreme rarity in N America, too).
