Sattal is a nice place in the foothills of the mighty Himalayas. Like yesterday the weather is fine but it gets rather cold at night and I'm glad having packed a warm sleeping bag ....

Today first some final birding at Sattal with a big surprise. I enjoyed a relaxed breakfast and was nibbling at my toast when suddenly a White-tailed Rubythroat hopped in front of the restaurant window. What a nice Christmas present!
Later drive to Pangot which is higher than Sattal. Breathtaking views of the Himalayas!

Full day in Pangot. Unfortunately no luck with Cheer's Pheasant after scanning those grassy slopes for hours and hours. Still three lifers today.

No new birds yesterday. Today in Delhi, birding at Okhla Sanctuary at the Yamuna River in the middle of the city.
