Tuesday April 12, 2005:
AN AMERICAN GOLDFINCH is coming to feeders at the Jingle Pot R.V Campgrounds in Nanaimo.
Twelve WILSON'S SNIPE were seen at the Jingle Pot Marsh near Jingle Pot Road and Third Street in Nanaimo.
A HERMIT THRUSH was spotted in a yard along Granite Park Road in Nanaimo.
Two SAVANNAH SPARROWS are in a yard in the 100 block of Meridian Way in Parksville.

Sunday April 10:
Three MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRDS were seen at the Englishman River Estuary, Shelly Road side, in Parksville.
The Sunday Bird Walk went to Little Qualicum Estuary. Twelve birders found the following forty nine species:

Six RED CROSSBILLS were seen in the 6000 block Warden Place in Nanaimo.
NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS, GREATER YELLOWLEGS, TOWNSEND'S and YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS were spotted at the Englishman River Estuary in Parksville.

Friday April 08:
CLIFF SWALLOWS were sighted in the Quesnel Lake area of Cedar.
An OSPREY was seen at the Assembly Dock Nest at Cowichan Bay in Duncan.
COMMON YELLOW-THROATS were seen at Buttertubs Marsh in Nanaimo.
An OSPREY was seen in the 2500 block of Glenayr Road in Nanaimo.
BANDTAIL PIGEONS were seen the Englishman River Estuary in Parksville.
SIx PURPLE MARTINS were seen at the Ladysmith Harbour.

Wednesday April 06:
Several VISPER SPARROWS were spotted in a field near the Nanaimo Airport in Cassidy.
A large flock of PINESISKINS, AMERICAN GOLDFINCH and a COOPER'S HAWK were seen visting feeders along Foxtail Avenue in Parksville.

Tuesday April 05:
A SHARP-SHINNED HAWK was spotted on a patio in the Departure Bay area of Nanaimo.
A male and female ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS have been coming to feeders all winter in the 3700 block of Mallard Place in Nanoose Bay.
An AMERICAN GOLDFINCH was seen at feeders near Pine Street and Third Street in Nanaimo

Monday April 04:
A female AMERICAN KESTREL was sighted at the Nanaimo River Estuary in south Nanaimo.
An RHINOCEROS AUKLET was seen about 100 feet off shore at Yellowpoint.
A TRUMPETER SWAN was seen at the Nanoose Estuary in Nanoose Bay.
A PURPLE MARTIN was sighted at the Ladysmith Harbour.
