Believe it or not, there are Alpha versions of this binocular toy. There's selection of 7x and 10x and the bonus point is that they should both be rock steady since the image will move with the View-master (without any lag time, now we are talking about IS).

Interocular distance and diopter adjustable, the top model goes for $400 (no ED glass or phase coating mentioned ;))! And they solved the low light situations problem with onboard artificial light. Bit adults would have to get the vintage scenic reels, because all modern reels seem to be toddler oriented.
