Little something, Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt (1 Viewer)

Hi Nicole,
The birds in your pic are Namaqua Doves, the smallest species of dove in the region.

Bird ID

As allready mentioned before. You got a picture with two males.
They don´t have black bill, it´s a well known fact that against bright light (sky) birds or parts of them seems to be black.
Kind regards,
Roman

I'm just wondering about the black beak.
Can they have either or?

Hi Nicole,

I think it's only a matter of light that makes the bills appear black in your picture. Males always have a red bill with a yellow tip. Sometimes the bill base is more purple than red, but never black in my experience.
