Nighthawk came to roost (1 Viewer)

Howdy,

This morning, my wife was out walking around with her cup o' coffee looking at things when she noticed a Common Nighthawk circling lower and lower over our clearing. As she watched, the bird dipped down into one of the larger tulip poplars behind the house. It has apparently decided that it's a good spot for the day 'cuz it's been there for about 3 hours now. I got out the spotting scope and the camera and took a bunch of photos. Here are the two that turned out really well:

Nighthawk 1

Nighthawk 2

Excellent Mark, you're very lucky.
One of my fondest birding memories involved seeing a Common Nighthawk on the Isle of Scilly in 1982.
