I also need advice (1 Viewer)

Yesterday I took a video of a woodpigeon in the garden and when playing it back on the camera it was in true colour but when I downloaded it onto the computer the colour red turned to blue. :eek!: I wonder if there is a way of correcting this. Thanks in advance:t:

Maybe some info on the camcorder you used etc could help? I'm just gonna take a wild stab in the dark and say it could use some funky codecs and I'm guessing you played it on windows media player? errm yeah more information is needed me things : )

The Camera I used was the FujiFinePix S5600.

There is little scope to tweak things as you can only adjust the image quality 640x480 or 320x240 and television playback (NTSC/PAL) for video on your camera.
Fuji states that Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) can be played back by QuickTime 3.0 or later.
Are you using quick-time for replay?
I believe M-JPEG never became a ratified standard so there may well be variations in result depending on what you use to play it back. Its not really a standard that a hobby video enthusiast would use - you may find that the Fuji forum may throw up more help, though it was a format used by many manufacturers in the past for a simple video recording (and looking at some of my archives produced very basic results.
From my archives I have brought up a number of video files from diffrent manufacturers cameras and played back on quicktime and windows media player (after picking up the right codec ) but while the images and sound were sometimes a bit rough, the colours were what you might expect.
What software are you using for playback?
