Both photographs are from the mountains of West Virginia. The beetle is about 35-40 mm long. The dragonfly is a common visitor to my wildflower garden at about 2400 ft. (just a hill compared to real mountains). Can anybody help me identify them to more than a beetle and a dragonfly? Thanks.
