A friend photagraphed the attached insect in Mallorca earlier this year but has been unable to put a name to it. Any ideas please?

Hi
A friend is studying the bees of the Balearic Islands and he tells me that this is Chalcidoma sicula - a beautiful bee that builds nests with mud
chimney entrances.
