Have a notion of what was seen, would be grateful for confirmation. Prefer not to lead with any false notions of my own. Was approximately 4 miles south, south-west of confluence of Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Thanks to all in advance. Bill

Thanks to all, Andrew, RJ, Bob, and Niels. Exactly what was in mind. Were 2 birds, looking very comfortable rather than transient, as normally seen around here. Have seen singles in the immediate area, but never more than one. Met folks as far north as Iowa that's encountered along the Mississippi in the past. Still a thrill to count a double.
