Young Bald Eagle? (1 Viewer)

Not sure, but I'm guessing this might be a young Bald Eagle. Very large bird, much bigger than an Osprey or Red-shouldered Hawk. Seen in Seminole Florida on 20-Sep-2006. We have quite a few adult Bald Eagles in the area.

i would agree with your assumption, golden eagles tend to be very dark and dont have as much white as this one does. and saying the there were quite a few adults in the area lends some more hints at being a bald eagle. :D

Oh hi I just wanted to add that a very informed person recently told me an easy way to ALWAYS know if a juvenile is a bald eagle:

there are no feathers on the feet.

Other eagles have feathers on their feet when young, while the juvenile bald eagle's feathers stop at the ankles.

Hope that helps!
