Premium compacts seem like a difficult segment, who buys all this cameras anyway?

Nikon keeps raising prices, extracting more money from fewer users who buy Nikon. Odd. Not interested in the DL.
Still, there might be a D820 this year, possibly 54MP or 46MP FF, but not likely to be a big seller IMO.
Nikon needs a mini D5 at a reasonable price, a D700 replacement.:news:

The 2016 restructuring was more expensive than expected, the "extraordinary loss" of Euro 40 million was the consequence. A lot of money, but if the daily business earns Nikon money, the company should still be OK. That said, I certainly welcome any news that could eventually lead to firesales of the Nikon V3...
Japanese companies are not known for financial transparency (remember the Olympus scandal?)...
