Went for a guided walk at the Millennium Country Park near Marston Moretaine this morning - walk was led by volunteer rangers Bob, Tony and Neil who had phenomenal knowledge and fantastically tuned ears, although the number of differing species was quite poor by all accounts - highlights:

Cetti's Warbler(s) - who have been breeding on site for approx 6 yrs
Reed Warbler - great sightings in wetlands area
Blackcap(s) - males and females
Bullfinch
Long-tailed Tits (flock)
Kingfisher (usual flash of blue - then gone)

There are other walks later on in the year and Spring so I'll try to make them.

Guided walks like that can really help to hone your skills.

Sounds like you had a great time Steve.
