Where is Table Mountain?

Here are corrected links (use BBcode or the little icons on the edit box; HTML won't work in this forum:

330

355

309

(you have 355 listed twice)

309 is a cormorant (a.k.a diver); 330 reminds me of American Robin but could be lots of things; 355 is so blurry it could be a marmot. Indeed, 339 in that series is some kind of rodent.

(See corrections below)

The Cormorant (not the same thing as a Diver!) is probably a Cape Cormorant. I also agree with Familiar Chat. Not sure about 355...

Oops, sorry. Not sure how my mental New England -> Old England translation table got mangled.

hawk -> buzzard
buzzard -> vulture
loon -> diver
chickadee -> tit

Also, I think the "rodent" is actually a hyrax, more closely related to elephants and dugongs than to rodents.

Hi there,

330 is a female Rock thrush, not a Familiar chat.
On table mountain both Cape rock-thrush and Sentinel rock-thrush are possible, but Cape is more common. I am not quite sure what this bird is though. My gut reaction was however Sentinel RT, but one thing bother me: the short legs (i.e more in line with Cape R).

355 I am far from sure again but could it be a falcon (kestrel)?
