Highlights from today......( 05.45am onwards ).........

8 Common Tern, were roosting amongst the Black Headed Gull colony.

1 Arctic Tern, was also noted, roosting amongst the colony.........( I looked long and hard at this bird, because I thought that it was perhaps a 'tad' early for an Arctic Tern, but it's tail streamers, were clearly projecting beyond the folded wings, and the bird presented, as being slightly smaller than the Common Tern's around it, ( although the quite poor light conditions, left me unable to determine whether the bird had a 'black tip', to it's bill or not, and although the bird's leg length, presented as being shorter than the Common Tern's around it, this was difficult to determine absolutely, as a result of the material, that it was perched on, and I didn't observe the bird in flight )...........but I'm going to 'plump'' for an Arctic.
