Sorry about these terrible shots - taken in Northumberland this week - one was a raven [cronking] but the other has me a bit stuck high pitched call not unlike a buzzard but short looking wings, head sticks out and fan shaped tail - any ideas at all from the silouettes? Or are they just not good enough to say anything - I'll have to go back if they're too poor for another look!

Buzzard at an angle that makes the wings look short. Your last image looks like 2 buzzards rather than a buzzard and a corvid though (in the 2nd image the left bird is clearly a corvid).
