Help please for friends enjoying a trip to Canada. They saw these whilst hiking around Jasper. Thank so for your help

Your first one is a Junco but I'm not sure on the second one. I'm gonna try to play with all the whiteness that is showing and see if I can figure it out.

Friends say the other one was striking in flight, very very blue

Second is a Mountain Bluebird.

Looks like a Yellow-rumped Warbler (Audubon's?).

At least some "Audubon's" genes in it with that yellowish throat.

It's a bit confusing since the IOC split them again, and I'm not up to date on the AOU.

As far as I know, the AOU (now AOS) still treats them as one species, the Yellow-rumped Warbler.
