Long shot - Passerine, Sichuan, 08/2006 (1 Viewer)

An(other) old picture I only recently re-discovered. It was taken in August 2006 in Sichuan, approximately here (coordinates 32.748048, 103.781279), from a moving vehicle at well above 3000m ASL (in my estimate, at 3500m minimum, given the distance from the 4000m pass).
Both images are croppings of the same photo, the second one has some writing on the telegraph pole that I can't decipher.

I know it's a terrible shot even by my standards, but can this be anything other than a shrike? My notes from that day mention at least one sighting of Grey-backed Shrike (Lanius tephronotus), which - according to the McKinnon guide and the media at HBW Alive - would be the only species of its genus realistically occurring at these altitudes, at least in the region. As far as I could discern, it appears to match some of the images on HBW and Oriental Bird Images (those without a big contrast between the remiges and the mantle). And nothing else really seems to match.

As this might be the only shot I have of the species, I'd be grateful for any assistance/confirmation/disagreement, the quality of the picture notwithstanding.
