My friend found an injured bird and she is not sure what to do with it. It can't move one of its wings and is unable to stand. How do we care for it? I live in Texas.

Hello Warcat
Appears to be a female House Sparrow, from what's seen.
Respectfully, the onus of any decision, lies with your friend and yourself.
Below is a link to Audubon FAQ page, that in part covers injured birds.
Also within it, are two databases of rehabbers. Understand, if it is a House Sparrow, it's one of the most numerous birds in the US. It enjoys no protection beyond humanitarian laws that govern animal cruelty. Resources of many rehab facilities are strained to the very point of breaking, because of so much work. Only thing that keeps many going, is purely human compassion. It's doubtful that much will be done, given what it may be, and the burden it would place on a facility. With that thought in mind, many vets will perform the unbearable, in order to stop further pain and suffering. Note, that you'll have to locate a facility, and deliver the bird.
