Have seen mice on many occasions getting spilled seed from under the feeder. This morning, however, there were some tracks in the snow that I'm not sure about. 2 sets going towards the feeder, and one returning, with one set going in a different direction. It seems a long 'stride' for a mouse, even allowing for it jumping over the snow. No tail drag mark, but then the brown rat doesn't leave one, does it? (I'm afraid the pic isn't too clear- camera couldn't focus in the near dark, and I had too clear the snow away before light.) Any ideas, please? Thanks

Looks like a squirrel track to me.

Thanks, both. We thought they looked a bit squirrelish, but they went into a ground cage to get bits where the bars were too narrow for one to get in, unless it was very young.
