Low Barns tonight

At least two Pied Flycatchers heard, one seen. Marsh Tit at the feeding station. At least three very active Treecreepers with mouths full of insects. Two Grey Partridge seen at Salters Gate on the way home.

Started the day at South Gare with the hope of blue throat, no such luck, but the wryneck showed well.
Called at Teesside/Zinkworks road on the way back, where we saw 3 wimbrel feeding in the horse field near the sand extraction. not much else, other than the usual linnets, mipits, swallows etc.
Sparrow Hawk flew into the garden with a rat, and sat perched while ripping it to shreads .

South Shields Pier:
Not much about other than kittiwake, fulmar, eider, cormorant, rock pipit, couple of swallows and sand martins. As we were leaving a wimbrel flew in, onto the rock opposite the car park, north side of the pier.

That was very clever of you to get it to drop its wing in the first photo, so you can see its tail and rump for a good ID. As usual, great photos.
