I can't help you specifically with a hides but I can share my experiences.
I found Crested Tit up the road in Grantown-on-Spey (Anagach Woods) last autumn and didn't need a hide to see them pretty well. I also saw them around the Loch Garten area a few times and again got good views as they fed in amongst tit flocks.
