canon 550d/100-400 lense what tripod? (1 Viewer)

Feisol and Benro both make some pretty good and reasonably priced carbon fibre tripods. With my 7D/100-400L I use a Feisol tripod with a Manfrotto video head (the latter inherited from my digiscoping days, probably not the best head for a DSLR). You'd be looking at around $300 for a decent tripod and maybe $150ish for head.

That Manfrotto one you linked to looks a little flimsy for a DSLR plus telephoto lens. Maximum load capacities are always a little vague and subjective but that one says only 3.5kg, I'd aim at double that or higher.
