Just an image on Zen-Rays web site. We have not received any yet so the photo and testing opportunity is not upon us yet

Cant wait to see it and some tests! Any pictures?

I can't wait, either. I hope Zen Ray's new scope will tun out to be winners like their binoculars that come close to the "alphas" in terms of optics, but at a fraction of the cost. I just communicated with Charles from Zen Ray about accessories for the scope. He said they are developing a 30x wide-angle eyepiece and digiscoping adapter, both of which should be ready to ship by the end of Q1 next year.

Looks very nice. A lot of the looks are similar to the Vortex Razor no??

Definitely. Both the Razor and the new Zen Ray scope look like the Kowa Prominar scopes. One thing I've noticed, though, is that the Zen ED2 looks longer than both the Razor and the Prominar. The Zen ED2 is specced to be 18 inches long, vs. 15.3 in for the Razor, and 13.5 (body only) for the TSN-883. This probably means the Zen ED2 has a higher focal ratio. Hopefully that will give the Zen a little bit of advantage in controlling aberrations.

Doug, just to correct one mistake we made on the spec that we originally provided. The correct length for the spotting scope with 20-60x eyepiece attached is 15.2in, not 18".

Thanks and Merry Christmas.

Ah, that throws out my high focal ratio theory. 15.2" with eyepiece is very comparable to the Vortex Razor HD and the Kowa 883.

Has anyone looked though one of these yet?
