EW12,

Great job on seeing and photographing the Little Owls! They remind me of the Burrowing Owls here in California. Hope I get to see a Little Owl when I next visit Shanghai.

October6,Jinshitan bird viewing

First of all thank you for checking out our information, our work is honored by your support.
This is the Block One Environmental wild life class in Dalian Maple Leaf International School. Our trip to wild bird viewing was done in October 6, we traveled by bus for ten minutes and we arrived a place near to a small river. We were unhappy about the river which was polluted by the Tangfangwenquan company. We hope the Jinshitan local government would take care of this phenomenon and leave a healthy environment for the lovely animals.
Tuesday Oct. 6 2:30-3:30PM.
We Moved the camera to a different location in Jinshitan and then had a short time to look for some birds in the same area.
Yellow-browed Warbler -3
Japaness Sparrowhawk -1
Ashy Minivet -8

Some very interesting catches on your camera trap. The Siberian weasel is interesting, but the Leopard cat is especially good. Learning to identify what you see in nature and put a name to it will help you to better appreciate just how much goes on around you that most people never notice.

Nice picture of the Grey Heron. Scary looking spider indeed!

Lions and tigers and bears! Oh, my! Well, not quite a lion but will do in a pinch. (Wizard of Oz, for those of you younger than me.)

October 14th, 2015 Block 1

In October 14th, Wednesday. We went to the west of Jinshitan in Dalian. At first we saw a squirrel on the rock near the sea. It has black fur on the back. Later, we went to check the dolphins. At first, we found nothing, but later there is a group of gulls fly over the sea. Then they moved around with a fixed area. They were getting fish. The area was also moving, from left to right. We guessed there may be a group of dolphin under the sea pushing the fish up. Although we did not see the dolphin, but there is a idea that there may be dolphins. I hope that we can have a good luck next time. :t:
