Hi,
I cannot find any program that matches this bird's rings :
One white DARVIC ring on the left leg reading "AAD" and one smaller grey ring (possibly metal) on the right leg.

The bird was seen at River Massa mouth in Morocco (30°04'09"N 9°39'53"0) on March 13, 2013.
Who should I report this sighting to ?

Thank you John.
I had tried this but could not find the exact match. I wrote to the spanish program, waiting for their reply...

Fernando Gavilan, posting on this forum as 'Aegitalos', has just noted that the Spanish office is nearly defunct. If I were you I'd try the BTO colour ring form at:
http://blx1.bto.org/euring/lang/pages/[email protected]
It looks a bit of work to fill in, but that shows they are taking it seriously, doesn't it ?!

Hi all, Greetings: possibly this bird has been marked by a fellow in my group, however, monitoring of birds with color ring here in Spain is in charge of the Biological Station of Doñana although the Spanish government has not bear expenses, so that this entity is performing this task altruistic.
I refer you all to the official website of this organization where they can find all the information in all official projects with PVC marking of my country today.
I hope I have been able to help and would ask you to inform us if you can, the history of the osprey.
Here the link.

This is the same bird I photographed in the same place on 13 Jan this year. Great photos. It was sat on a distant dead tree when I saw it and the ring is barely readable on my record shots but is clearly the same signature.

Going from Fernando's useful link it doesn't seem to match the Spanish projects. I was told it was probably a Scottish bird at the time but couldn't get any further.

Thank you all for the info.
Fernando, the bird doesn't seem to match any of the projects listed in the pdf file you sent.
I filled the BTO form, waiting for their reply. I shall let you know about it.

I hope you have already found the answer by now. If not here it is. This same bird (AAD) is a female ringed as nestling at the Al-Hoceima National Park on the Mediterranean coast of Morocco in 2012. It was found breeding in Cádiz, southern Spain in spring 2014.

This bird is very interesting because it shows that this presumed sedentary population is actually not (wintering in Oued Massa and then moving to breed in a completely new continent!).
