Firstly, my apologies for the very poor photos.

A group of local bird watchers and photographers were waiting at a park where an adult Chinese Sparrowhawk have been seen perched relatively low in the trees in the past two to three days.

During the wait, I photographed this bird flying overhead. I thought it was the Chinese Sparrowhawk coming in but alas, it did not appear.

I'm not sure if this bird can identified down to specie level from these photos that are basically silhouettes. Photos 1 & 2 have been brightened up. Photo 3 show the original of photo 1.

Help appreciated.

Yes, the Eurasian Sparrowhawk is very rare. Only two confirmed records in Singapore. Most recent was November 2016 and the first one was November 2010.
