Oare Marshes (1 Viewer)

Visited the Oare marshes Kent Ornithological Society reserve last week. What an amazing place it is. I could only spend an hour there but in that short time I saw Golden Plover, Lapwing, Little Ringed Plover, Ruff. Water Rail, Black Tailed Godwit, Little Ibis, Whinchat, Stonechat, Goldfinch and several others. The regulars were very welcoming, the weather fine and it made for a memorable time. If you have not been I can highly recommend.

It's a great place, but the Kent Ornithological Society can take no credit for it as it's run by the Kent Wildlife Trust. However, I suspect many of those welcoming locals were members of the KOS - if not then they should be!
