Found the tortrix moth among my strawberries this morning, and can't quite find anything with these markings.

Thanks!

And a second one from the garden last night. Is this a Common Pug, or something else... or impossible to ID?!

Thanks Tom. Since I posted the Tortrix moth, I have searched through 3 on-line resources, and also cannot find anything to match. Maybe an unusual variation of a common species, as it seems some species can be quite variable...?

Thanks Richard. Is this variation uncommon, as even now I can't find such distinct markings in on-line resources?

EDIT: although a quick google search brings up some similarly marked examples. Thanks!
