anyone else experience them drinking from a hummingbird feeder?

This really surprised me!!

almost as much as a flicker that figured out if he sits on the rail of the deck he can eat out of the finch feeder!

hehehe

I guess he likes gourmet food. *S*
 
I haven't had a downy do this but did have a female hairy woodpecker try it. She proceded to completely destroy one feeder port on the feeder!! Even with the damage, it was quite amusing to watch her swinging around on an out-or-control feeder right at a window!
