This gull was among a group of black headed gulls near the river Teifi in South West Wales (UK) today. Can anyone help with identification?

Thanks

Tommy

agreed, ring-billed gull, the diffuse white on the tertials fading into the pale grey of the mantle are a good pointer to rule out common gull.

Hi Tommy, I was sent one of your photos yesterday afternoon via Teifi birders and I confirmed it was a 2CY Ring-billed Gull - good pics! Hope it stays for all the locals to see. Dave Astins
