Hen of the woods? (1 Viewer)

Hi
Found this on a broadleaf stump and assumed it was "Hen of the Woods" Grifola frondosa but now I'm not so sure. The spores seem to be too long and it could also be Dendropolporus umbellatus in which case the spores are too wide. In fact reading the literature it could be either (or both!)
Thanks for any help.
Colin

Hi Colin

How about neither? - Meripilus giganteus :)

Cheers,
Nick

P.S. I think there are some slight anomalies in your measuring software - For example I make the spore that measures 8.13 shorter than the one that measures 7.84.
