Caught in my actinic trap last night in Nutfield Surrey. I have no idea of the current status of this moth here in Surrey.

Hi Richard,
if it were a N Drab, I think I'd expect to see a contrasting, dark shadow running next to the outermost cross line?

Northern Drab update.

Confirmed as a male Northern Drab by gen. det. and another moth trapped on 29/04 (still to be confirmed) is almost certainly this sp. also. First Surrey record(s) in over 20 years.

Nutfield being a known site for it in 1989 - good to know it's still around. Must keep a close eye on any likely casndidates next year.

Hi Martin, yes, it was Pat Cordell who lives 200m down the road from me that caught the last one in 1989. It seems quite likely that a small local population has remained undetected all this time.
