November 2010 Mid Sized Binocular Review - Birdwatching.co (1 Viewer)

No doubt it is confusing. I don't know whether they "love" to do it or if it is because they have so many varieties that they have a hard time organizing them into specific categories.

Here is their latest attempt as far as I know:

Click on the top left file.

To add to the confusion, this is the 2010 Nikon Binocular page through the www.nikonusa.com site:

http://www.nikonsportoptics.com/Products/Binoculars/index.page

There is no EII shown on this site. Also on this site is the Trailblazer ATB compact, which is seen on "Bob's" page as the Sportstar EX compact.

Exactly!

If you go to the 1st link in my post and scroll down the left side, click on binoculars and go to compacts you will see that the Travelite EX is the same binocular as the Pro Staff ATB in Howard's link.

Bob

PS: You will also see that there is no 9 x 25 version in Howard's Nikon USA link.

While we are on this subject, just to keep things organized, we might as well throw in Nikon's most recent (AFAIK) binocular comparison chart. It is very handy.

PS: I think, maybe, that these last 10 posts or so should be in the Nikon Forum under a new Thread Title.

Perhaps something like "Recent Nikon Binocular Categories or Nomenclature." Or similar to that.

Can it be done?

I can't find any Swift binoculars. Why is that? |=(|

I talked by phone with the new Swift owners in COS.....doesn't seem they're too keen to keep the better porros in the lineup. That'd be a shame, as the 820's & UL's are about all that's left that can hold sway with the EII's & SE's....and for those of us who like porros....

One thing Swift could do with all their units is increase the fov to at least match the 820's....most especially the Eaglet & HHS. Swift has always been a real bastion for the value-conscious among us....
