I have looked through a few pair of the 20x60. They are not that heavy and about the same size as a Zeiss Classic 8x56 BGAT. But I prefer the Canon 18x50 and the fistful of Benjimans I still have left in my pocket!

Remember playing with them at a dealer when they first came out in the mid 90's. Seemed a bit big and clumsy and the stabilisation button was a bit tricky at first.
Soon got used to the handling, and the image quality was very good. Only real drawback, and I think it applies to all the stabilised bins I've tried is the slight lag when panning.
Anyway these bins are a bit more expensive- http://lbtwww.arcetri.astro.it/

I was loaned a pair from Zeiss for an extended period when they first came out in the mid-90s(?). They're a weight around the neck and not really a sensible option for a portable pair of bins. I ended up using them upside down cos I found it awkward pressing down the stablisation button which caused additional instability, and upside down it was much easier to press up with my thumb!

Where do are you going to get a strap BIG enough for those though?

Does anybody on Bird Forum have a pair of these? I wonder how they would be for birding if you could carry them! Here is a You Tube video on them and a website where you can buy them. They run about $6K! I hear they are awesome!

And if that cool hip hop beat is included every gangsta' in the hood will want one, just to have them hanging from their thick gold neck chains.
:-O

Certainly an imposing pair of high quality binoculars. Size and weight really restricts the situations where they might be useful.

Dennis - This is what I call a pickup glass. Sits along side you as you drive along. Good for quick peeks. Check on length of guarantee. I had one half of these as a super monocular. If I recall the guarantee was only for five years. John

I clicked on the attached thumbnail and then on the 2 links to get a better look at them and now when I so on some other website, google pops up these binoculars for me to look at again.

has this happened to anyone else?

Welcome to the world according to google, Bob. They'll chase you all around now and the ads you see are just for you. Don't you feel special?

Shades of "Minority Report".
A combination of Adblock Plus, NoScript and BetterPrivacy will solve the problem, but will block parts of websites until you allow otherwise. Or until you subscribe to Facebook, in which case your privacy is a thing of the past.
